Timeless classic. I was specifically looking for this version that included Napoleon Hill's original text. I know the later versions edited out and updated text that are no longer "politically correct" such as "colored people." And I understand that for many first timers, it may distract them from Napoleon Hill's important messages. However, with the context in mind that the book was written in the 30s, I am able to overlook the archaic language used, and really dig deep into the message he meant to instill in his readers. Henceforth, I wanted to make sure I had a copy of the original for myself. The edits removing the original text in the original location is disappointing. Why do that? Part of the beauty of the book is the language of the time period in which it was written. In this case, less is not more. (Yes, the original passages are still in the book, but moved out of the chapters, and that's not really convenient or helpful.)Other than that, the supplemental information that is provided to add depth and context to the material is pretty good. It's nice, for example, to get a brief overview of who the people are Hill references who are not household names today, and not having to go to Wikipedia to look it up. Doing that "homework" is where this book adds value.It would ideally add that value without simultaneously reducing value by taking an aggressive editorial approach and moving entire passages and sections away from the source chapter.
